    T
his listing is for a Yamaha Custom Bb soprano clarinet
barrel. This barrel is made of grenadilla wood, not plastic. "Custom" is what Yamaha puts on their top tier instruments, so this would be from/for a pro level Yamaha clarinet. It is marked 8264 on the back. I'm not sure if that is the serial number of an instrument that it originally came with, or if it has some other meaning. This barrel is 64mm long, which is about 2mm shorter than the normal length. This would be useful if you need to bring up the pitch of your instrument slightly for whatever reason.
This barrel is in excellent used condition. It has never been cracked, and there are no chips. The grain of the wood is nice and tight. There are no significant scratches. The rings are slightly loose. Not so much so that they come off, but they turn slightly if you try. It is quite probable that this is just due to the dry winter air, and that they will tighten up
when the season changes, or after a bit of playing on it. I cleaned it lightly, and oiled the wood.
Please feel free to email me with any questions.
    Thanks again for looking!
    Note to international buyers:
Due to the current global pandemic, international shipments via USPS mail are experiencing significant delays. This is due to lack of available transportation (ie. mail is normally carried overseas as cargo on commercial passenger flights, however the flight schedules have been slashed). European buyers have experienced wait times of up to 2 months for shipments to arrive. If this potential wait presents a problem for you, please refrain from purchasing at this time. I sincerely apologize for this, unfortunately unavoidable, inconvenience.
