    For your consideration is a solid (N9) crystal opal from Lightning Ridge, Australia. It features bright (3/5) but Highly Directional blue in a broadflash pattern.  This chunky, oval-cut stone weighs 4.49 carats.  It measures 12mm by 10mm by 5mm deep.  A whisp of black potch and some spiderwebbing add character to the gem.  Clean face-up with no cracks or crazing.  Theres a clay spot on back.  As always, this is all-natural, untreated material.
    PLEASE NOTE: you are looking at enlarged images of a small gemstone. Flaws or blemishes may not be visable to the naked eye!  White lines or spots that do not remain in the same place are reflections from the highly polished surface.
